Biography


The Fizz Mustafizur Rahman now a new sensation of world cricket. Mustafiz grabbed first attention of world cricket only at the age of 19 during India's tour of Bangladesh when he picked up second five-wicket hauls in a row in ODI. In fact, he is the only bowler who takes a total of 11 wickets in first two matches. In his 3rd ODI against India, he took 2 wickets and made history by taking 13 wickets in a 3-match ODI series.
After a great performace in the 2014 U-19 World Cup Bangladesh selectors picked this left-arm first bowler for the one-off T20I against Pakistan and then, midway through 2015, for the ODI series against India.
Those performances saw him included in the International Cricket Council ODI Team of the Year in 2015 and, after also winning a place in the Tigers' World Twenty20 squad the following year, drafted in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad during the Indian Premier League auctions 2016, signed to play limited-overs cricket for Sussex. He is named in Shane Warne's T20 Dream Team as well.

The Fizz Mustafizur Rahman becomes a new sensation of world cricket, come from a remote area of Bangladesh. Mustafiz grabbed first attention of world cricket only at the age of 19 during India's tour of Bangladesh when he picked up second five-wicket hauls in a row in ODI. In fact, he is the only bowler who takes a total of 11 wickets in first two matches. In his 3rd ODI against India, he took 2 wickets and made history by taking 13 wickets in a 3-match ODI series. He is the specialist on Cutter, Slower and Yorker. Also, renowned as Cutter Master for his left-armer's offcutter, which was delivered as a spinner does but with the added ability of making it carry to the wicket keeper standing back. Mustafizur Rahman is a left-arm pace bowler who came to Dhaka to try out for a fast-bowling camp in 2012, after he had impressed in an Under-17 tournament in Satkhira, some 300km from Dhaka. He got admitted to the BCB's pace foundation and soon caught the coaches' attention to make the Bangladesh Under-19 side for the 2014 World Cup. He took eight wickets in the U-19 World Cup in the UAE. Soon enough, the Bangladesh selectors picked this left-arm first bowler for the one-off T20I against Pakistan and then, midway through 2015, for the ODI series against India.
The Fizz Mustafiz, a rising star of world cricket burst on to the international scene, taking 4-37 against South Africa on the first innings of Test debut by Jul 21, 2015. He took 5/50 on his ODI debut by Jun 18, 2015, vs India and 4/20 on T20 debut Apr 24, 2015, vs Pakistan.
The lanky pacer Mustafiz has been making headlines since his dream ODI debut against India, setting the stage for Bangladesh to seal a historic series win. Mustafizur's talent was spotted immediately and he was drafted in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad during the Indian Premier League auctions 2016. After that all are history.
This young fast bowler wins IPL 2016 Emerging Player award, a first for any foreign player in the history of the IPL. Sussex have signed Bangladesh left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman, 20, for NatWest T20 Blast competition. He will become the first ever Bangladesh international to play for Sussex.
